Script is the last thing on the mind even now. Huge amount of money is being put into films. People have always had the complaint that more thought could have been put in the script.”
Having been a piece of Bollywood for more than two decades as a performer, Kapoor has helmed a lot of movies also and wearing the chief’s cap has just helped him comprehend the craft of filmmaking better.
He says,”The fact that I know exactly what the director wants, helps me deliver the product. Having been behind the camera, I understand the filmmaker better.”
He includes, “”There are no creative differences. As an actor I am very submissive in front of the vision of the director, and I understand that the film is a director’s medium. We should not fight that and this is what I expect from my actors and I want to give it.”
Kapoor has been a piece of many praised movies, for example, Monsoon Wedding(2001), Bheja Fry (2007) and Dasvidaniya (2008), and as of late Kapoor and Sons (2016), with Ratna Pathak Shah and Fawad Khan and Sidharth Malhotra. – CINEWS
