Bollywood star organizes meet and greet evening for good cause

Television stars are rarely known to immigrate to Canada, but recently, one just did- Jai Kalra, an Indian television star recently made Canada his home. He’s appeared in one Bollywood film, Page 3 and many soap operas. He is organizing a meet and greet evening on Saturday, the 18thJuly at Canadian Convention Centre, Brampton.

Event has been named as The Big Reunion – Bollywood fund raiser in aid of Nepal earthquake victims. It will be a reunion of some of the most popular stars of Indian Television industry like Ram Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar, Tarana Raja, Jai Kalra and Sumona Chakravarti. All these actors became household names in India and within the South Asian Diaspora globally, through their show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, the seventh most watched television show of 2011. It went off-air after completing a run of over 3 years and 644 episodes successfully a year ago.
The star cast of the show has a sizable number of Canadian fans and THE BIG REUNION will bring together the main cast of the show to meet and greet them all.
The net proceeds from this event will be donated to Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fun. Ambassador of Nepal, His Highness Mr. Kali Prasad Pokhrel who will be there along with Counsel General of India, Mr.Akhilesh Mishra, Mayor of Mississauga Bonnie Crombie.
