New Delhi, Dec. 10 (ANI): Keeping with the demands of time and needs of a smart biker, Bikeportal now offers the facility to book bikes from the entire fleet of bike brands in India ranging from Suzuki, Honda or Hero, Mahindra, Bajaj to TVS and many others, with a click of mouse or a tap on your smart phone.
Bikeportal provides a pool of options to avid bikers, offering best discounts and a comparison platform before selection. The portal has recently grown to have a larger focus on booking bikes through smart phones, as 73% of users do research on products from their mobile devices.
The testimony to the success of the portal is the escalating number of visitors on the site and increase in sales. Bikeportal.in is hitting 2.3 million traffic with 7.70 million page views every month.
“We are not a retail commerce website, like Snapdeal, Flipkart and Paytm, which offers only products. We understand that a vehicle buyer requires a different kind of experience before he goes into the purchase funnel. Our portal has a unique blend of content and commerce, which gives customers a satiating experience towards making a purchase decision,” said Sagar Das, Co-founder, Bikeportal.
The sale of two wheelers has grown at CAGR 11.3% over FY10-FY15 from 9.3 mn units to 16 mn units. Das said, “The growing number of two-wheeler sales, accompanied by increasing Internet users, currently 354 million users as per recent IAMAI report, opens a huge market for online vehicle sales like any other product. Bikeportal is the first one in India in the space of pure automotive site to launch the commerce model in partnership with certain OEMs and dealerships, helping them to transact additional vehicles.”
Currently, a customer is receiving attractive discounts on Bikeportal on paying a booking amount of INR 2000. The portal offers services to prospective customers both on site and through voice-based personalised help on vehicle selection process.
The idea is to extend some ease to customers in making a choice, as multiple options of two wheelers are available in the market. Bikeportal is an integrated platform, with participation from dealers and partnered OEMs, to ease out real-time transactions.
“We are continuously revamping Bikeportal.in to make vehicle purchase completely hassle free for the customers. Our research says that 73% of users explore options from their respective mobile device. So, our larger focus will be on mobile, meeting the exact expectation of customers,” Das said while dwelling on the business’s focus in the coming few months. (ANI)
