`Bored` Hamilton insists organisers to change F1 format

Melbourne, Oct. 18 (ANI): Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton has described last week’s Russian Grand Prix practice sessions as `boring` and urged the organisers to bring some change in the Formula One race weekend format.

Earlier this summer, Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) had announced that they would bring several exciting and innovative changes in the race weekend format, news.com.au reported.

Expressing his views, Hamilton insisted that it was high time that the format should change as it had been the same since nine years.

The 30-year-old said it would be exciting if each weekend is going to be different, but, however, said that he doesn’t think it would ever happen.

Recently, Hamilton secured his ninth title of the season by cruising to a commanding victory at the Russian GP in Sochi.

With the Russia GP win, he has clinched his 42nd victory of the Grand Prix and will now be aiming to seize another title in the in the next race in the United States on October 25.(ANI)
