Brampton, March 18 (CINEWS): Last Friday, Brampton resident 26-year-old Inderjit Gill was charged with dangerous driving and racing after several other drivers called police to report seeing a car travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 401 near Napanee.
An officer with the OPP Highway Safety Division pulled over a westbound car around 8. 15 am Friday after several complaints from other motorists were received by the OPP Communications Centre in Smiths Falls, according to police.
As the weather gets better, many drivers tend to drive faster and more recklessly. More walkers and runners are on the sidewalk and at risk of being knocked over by an errant driver while crossing streets. And also there are motorbikes and cyclists who will be coming out in large numbers. Motorists are urged to exert caution, report erratic drivers who are pose a danger to the public and obey rules of the road.
