Brampton man wounded in knife attack

Peel Regional Police dogs are hunting an armed man after a fight near a Brampton plaza left a young man wounded.

The violence in the area of Queen Street East and Kennedy Road South was reported just before 5 p.m.

Police say a 22-year-old man was found with knife wounds and rushed to hospital.

Const. Sarah Patten said the injuries appear minor but said there was a knife involved in the fight.

The force’s Canine Unit responded to the scene and are hunting an armed suspect.

Witnesses say the fight occurred outside the plaza with the Shoppers Drug Mart.
