This isn’t a belated April Fool’s joke, fDi magazine which stands for foreign direct investment publication has named Brampton among the top “mid-sized American city of the future”, it also rates the city as a business-friendly community.
fDi is a respected British-based publication that provides an up-to-date review of global investment activity.
The criteria employed to shortlist the American Cities of the Future 2017/18, takes into account a slew of data collected under five categories- economic potential, human capital and lifestyle, and connectivity.
In a list comprising 75 cities across continental America, Brampton made the cut.
In addition to the Top 10 overall rank, Brampton placed second in business friendliness and foreign direct investment strategy, and received another Top 10 ranking in connectivity.
Meanwhile in Brampton many residents are really hoping for more companies to set up shop so that they don’t have to commute to other cities for work. Also many may hope to have better mass transit which includes rapid transit that could ease traffic congestion and reduce the reliance of owning a vehicle which can be really expensive given the insurance premiums associated with having a Brampton address. – CINEWS
