Starting Sept. 6, in time for the new school year, Brampton transit users will have more options to get around with the introduction of the 561 Züm Queen West, the 199 University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) Express and 55 Elbern Markell rapid bus routes.
The UTM route is part of a pilot project for the 2016/2017 school year and will travel express from Brampton Gateway Terminal to the UTM near the Student Centre, making no stops in between.
The project will run through the fall and winter terms from Sept. 6 to April 28, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
This service is a partnership between Brampton Transit and the University of Toronto Mississauga.
• 561 Züm Queen West connects the Downtown Terminal to Mount Pleasant GO station by way of McMurchy Avenue, McLaughlin Road, Chinguacousy Road, Bovaird Drive and a several other stops during the weekday only.
• Elbern Markell operates from Mount Pleasant GO Station to Chinguacousy Road and Queen Street during weekday a.m. and p.m. peak service and mid-day service only.
