New Delhi, Dec 30 (IANS) The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) will earn “brand value” in April next year.
“In April, a conference will be conducted by IIT, Delhi for improving the brand value of NDRF and it’ll be called ‘Brand NDRF’. We are not going to earn any profit by ‘Brand NDRF’, but there will be social profit. Branding can also have non-profit values. It will focus on our achievements and the good work we’ve done,” said NDRF Director General O.P. Singh on Wednesday.
The students and faculty members of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi are also conducting a study on NDRF.
“We have had discussions with the faculty and the students three-four times. They are looking into the fact that how NDRF has emerged as a premier response force. NDRF has been there for 10 years, but a number of activities have happened in the last two years,” said Singh.”It could be because of leadership, procurement of equipment, and motivation. The study is basically on the turnaround strategy. They asked us a lot of questions. They interviewed our battalions and we replied to all their questions.
“We also have to give a presentation in the last week of January in front of the students and the faculty members,” he added.
