Brussels was a beautiful city, now it’s a disaster city: Trump

Washington D.C., Mar. 23 (ANI): Following the deadly twin explosions in Brussels, U.S Presidential candidate Donald Trump offered his condolences for the victims but not before commenting on the state of the European city which came under attack by the ISIS yesterday, saying that it had become a ‘disaster; city.

According to CNN, Trump went straight for action before offering his condolences for the victims of the attacks came hours later as he reiterated his call for U.S. to close its borders to foreign Muslims and to reject Syrian refugees.

“Brussels was a beautiful city, a beautiful place with zero crime and now it’s a disaster city. It’s a total disaster. We have to be very careful in the United States. We have to be very vigilant as to who we allow in this country,” Trump said on Fox News.

Tweeting his sympathies, Trump said, “my heart and prayers go out to all of the victims of the terrible #Brussels tragedy,” he wrote. “This madness must be stopped, and I will stop it.”

“Do you all remember how beautiful and safe a place Brussels was. Not anymore, it is from a different world! U.S. must be vigilant and smart!” Trump tweeted

Trump also levelled criticism at President Barack Obama, who condemned the attack in the midst of his historic trip to Cuba.

“President Obama looks and sounds so ridiculous making his speech in Cuba, especially in the shadows of Brussels. He is being treated badly!” Trump tweeted.

At least 30 people were killed and more than 230 were injured in Tuesday’s attacks at an airport and metro station in the Belgian capital.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack yesterday, but did not suggest that it was retribution for Abdeslam’s dramatic capture. (ANI)
