Car hits pedestrian; police seek witnesses

MISSISSAUGA:  Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation into a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred in Mississauga.

On Friday October 7, 2016, a 2016 white Jeep Cherokee was travelling southbound on Redmond Road approaching Central Parkway in Mississauga. At the same time, the male victim was attempting to cross from the north side to the south side of Central Parkway.

The white Jeep Cherokee attempted to turn right to travel west on Central Parkway when the vehicle struck the victim. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with police.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, or who may have information about the actions of the driver or pedestrian prior to the collision.
