Carrie Fisher revealed in a Nov. 29 interview that she was ‘infatuated’ with Harrison Ford when they were secretly together during ‘Star Wars’, sharing details of how they were able to sneak around off-set.
Carrie Fisher, 60, revealed more about her affair with Harrison Ford, 74, in a new interview on The Ellen Show! Watch below:
“It was infatuation,” Carrie told Ellen Degeneres of the affair, which took place for three months while they were on set in London in 1976, filming the first Star Wars film. “I told other stuff to distract people so they wouldn’t figure it out,” she added, explaining how she kept the secret for 40 years.
“No one thought it was happening at the time. I don’t even know if he did,” The Princess Diarist author also said jokingly.
Carrie also explained that the Star Wars set unintentionally became a prime atmosphere for people to get together. “Everybody was away from home,” the actress said. “So then the rules…I didn’t know this…I was 19, nobody told me about location rules, or lack of rules. But you can do whatever you want [on location] as long as you film the movie.”
As for Carrie’s current relationship status, well, Ellen had to clear that up. “You’re not dating are you?” the talk show host asked. “Not that I know of!” Carrie quipped in response.
Carrie she was 19 and Harrison was 33 and married when they had their affair. The bombshell news broke when Carrie started promoting her autobiography, which details the whole thing. “It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend,” Carrie said.
