New Delhi, March 21 (IANS) The central government has a “multi-prolonged strategy focussed on development” to improve the quality of life in the Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected areas of Chhattisgarh, a Union minister said on Monday.
Every district in Chhattisgarh is given a grant of Rs.30 crore annually for development purpose, said Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary in an interaction with a group of 72 schoolchildren from remote and tribal areas of the state.
The children, who are on a tour organised by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), under direction of the home ministry, visited many historical places of Delhi, an official statement said.
Chaudhary said the children should share their experience with their friends and families when they return home.
He also wished them success and happiness in their future and thanked the CRPF for organising such tours for the children from the extremism-affected areas.
