Charges laid against five men in Aurora shooting case

Investigators with the #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have laid charges against five mene and are appealing to witnesses to come forward following a shooting in the Town of Aurora.

On Friday, July 1, 2016, shortly after 10 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a shooting at an event centre located on Industrial Parkway South near Vandorf Sideroad. Information from witnesses indicated that a fight broke out between individuals at the event.

Four victims have been located, three adult female victims and one adult male victim, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims suffered non-life -threatening injuries. The suspects fled the scene in a white Porsche which was located by uniform officers and Air2.  Five suspects in the vehicle were arrested and have since been charged in connection with this incident.

Charged are: Raymond Powell, 31, of Toronto and Adrian Pascal, 28, of Toronto with aggravated assault and failing to comply with recognizance.

The other three:Jason Beharry, 24, of Oshawa, Devin Degoias, 20, of Toronto and Jason Maragh, 30, of Whitchurch-Stouffville have been charged with aggravated assault.

Investigators are also seeking to identify a male seen leaving the area. This individual, or anyone who can identify him, are asked to contact police. The public is advised not to approach this individual and to contact police immediately if he is seen.  – CINEWS
