Tel Aviv, Nov 25 (IANS) Chelsea FC head coach Jose Mourinho has revealed that captain John Terry may miss the English Premier League (EPL) encounter against Tottenham Hotspur after injuring his ankle in a Champions League clash with Tel Aviv here.
The veteran defender went off the field during Tuesday’s encounter that the English football champions won 4-1 at the Bloomfield Stadium.
“The score was 1-0 when John left the pitch and for that to happen, I know already that he is in trouble,” Mourinho told chelseafc.com.
“My medical department is really good and John is a professional guy with a special desire to recover but to leave the pitch with the result 1-0, I don’t believe too much that he can play at Tottenham on Sunday,” the Portuguese tactician added.
The Chelsea coach also said that the injury happened due to a bad pitch. He also said that Ramires slid and had a muscular injury during a practice session on Monday.
