Cindy Crawford’s daughter is expanding her on-camera resume. Kaia Gerber’s acting debut in the indie film “Sister Cities” will make its world television premiere September 17 on Lifetime, the network announced on Tuesday.
The 14-year-old’s face is already famous to fashion fans who have watched her follow in her supermodel mom’s footsteps, but “Sister Cities” marks Kaia’s first foray onto the small – and big – screen.
Based on the acclaimed stage play, “Sister Cities” chronicles four estranged sisters who reunite following their mother’s death and uncover a potentially devastating family secret. The movie first premiered at Michael Moore’s Traverse City Film Festival in Michigan at a sold-out screening last month.
Kaia co-stars alongside Amy Smart, Jacki Weaver, Stana Katic, Michelle Trachtenberg, Troian Bellisario, Jess Weixler, Tom Everett Scott and Alfred Molina. Her casting in the project was revealed last summer.
