Two much-anticipated film will be released on Friday – Banjo and Parched and the question on everybody’s mind is whether the box office collection of the sexual abuse drama with three young actresses making an impression will be affected. Judging by the past comments of the producers they won’t be too much apprehensive about it.
The producer has said the motive for handling such a controversial subject is something like a service to the community and their main concern is not really making money. And there was also a plan to hold free screenings for the public too.
The producer is also requesting the government to make Pink tax-free driving home the point that the Pink team is not too much concerned about box office earnings.
Banjo which will be released this Friday stars Nargis Fakhri and Riteish Deshmukh while Parched starring Radhika Apte is also a women-centric film like Pink.
Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhary, Pink stars Amitabh Bachchan in the role of a lawyer. The film was in a box office clash with Emraan Hashmi-starrer Raaz Reboot — which had a better opening collection than Pink but failed to establish its hold. – CINEWS
