Congress has no right to question AAP’s functioning: Dilip Pandey

New Delhi, July 4 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Dilip Pandey on Saturday said that the Congress Party had no right to point fingers at his party’s functioning and added that Delhi’s Budget was made in consultation with the people.

Pandey, who was reacting to Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) chief Ajay Maken’s remark that whether the AAP had consulted the people of Delhi before demanding a salary hike for the MLAs, said they have not been able to understand participative democracy despite being such an old party.

“Whatever I want to do at my home, I will not ask others. When the matter pertains to people, we will discuss it with people. AAP is the first party to make a budget by consulting people…AAP is doing its work, whenever there is a need to ask people we will do it,” Pandey said.

A delegation of 20 AAP legislators had yesterday met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal demanding a hike in their salaries.

According to reports, the MLAs have cited problems in meeting expenses that include the cost of maintaining an office in their constituencies, transportation and running a household. (ANI)
