Jammu, Mar 13 (ANI): Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh on Sunday said alleged that the Congress is haunted by the phobia of ‘nationalistic organisation’ RSS.
Taking potshots at Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad for comparing the RSS and ISIS, Singh said the leaders of the grand old party make such unwarranted comments whenever they find the ground slipping from beneath their feet.
“When Ghulam Nabi Azad had lost the Lok Sabha election from Kathua then also he had said that he was defeated by the RSS. The RSS is a nationalistic organization, not a terrorist organization. This comparison is unequal and it lacks substance,” Singh told the media here.
Azad kicked a row earlier on Saturday after he sought to draw a parallel between the RSS and ISIS, evoking sharp responses from the Hindutva outfit and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which demanded an apology from him.
The RSS in response slammed Azad, saying that such a remark showed intellectual bankruptcy of the grand old party.
“Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad comparing ISIS with RSS, exhibits the intellectual bankruptcy of Congress,” RSS leader J. Nand Kumar said at a press conference. (ANI)
