Congress names James S. Lynghdoh as Meghalaya working president

New Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS) Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Monday appointed James S. Lynghdoh as the working president of the party’s Meghalaya unit, General Secretary and state in charge C.P Joshi as chairman of coordination committee and state chief D.D. Lapang as the convener of political affairs committee.

“Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved the coordination committee and political affairs committee alongwith the appointment of one working president and one PCC general secretary in-charge of frontal organisations in the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee,” said a statement released by AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi.

The other members of coordination committee are Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and Lapang.

The members of political affairs committee are Sangma, B.K. Sawian, Donbosh N. Sangma, and Shitlang Pale.

Accroding to the statement, the PCC general secretary in-charge of frontal organisations is Manstudy Nongrem.
