Convenience store worker attacked with sticks in robbery

Peel Regional Police are hunting three males armed with sticks after a robbery at a Brampton convenience store Monday morning left an employee shaken and injured.

The incident occurred around 6:20 a.m. on Dec. 4. According to reports the robbery occurred at the Goodies Convenience store at the corner of Kennedy Road South and Dean Street.

Police say three males had their faces covered when they burst into the store “armed with sticks.”

They fled the scene with cash and property, but not before assaulting the lone man working inside. The victim received a “gash on the head”, and was treated on scene by Peel Region Paramedics.

The force’s canine unit was on scene searching for the suspects, but came up empty.
