Courteney Cox gave boyfriend Johnny McDaid the silent treatment during a tense lunch date in London after they were photographed in the middle of a heated argument. The former Friends star initially split from her rocker fiance in November, after 18 months together, but they reconciled in March and have been working on rebuilding their relationship ever since.
Courteney, who is based in Los Angeles, has been spending an increasing amount of time with the Snow Patrol musician in his native U.K., but a lunch outing on Monday appeared to leave a bad taste in their mouths as the paparazzi caught the couple in a lovers’ quarrel.
The stars opted to sit outside for their meal at Notting Hill restaurant Granger and Co., but the date appeared to be anything but romantic as Courteney was pictured waving her arms in frustration as she snapped at Johnny.
Other images, show the 52-year-old holding her head in her hands and looking away from her man, with Johnny, 40, remaining calm as he appeared to be trying to reason with the actress. It is not known what sparked the couple’s fall out, but Courteney and Johnny previously called off their engagement after reportedly failing to agree on where to live.
Monday’s public argument emerged weeks after they were rumoured to be back on track with their wedding plans, with reports suggesting the couple is preparing to tie the knot in a backyard celebration at Courteney’s home in Malibu, California.
Representatives have yet to address the renewed wedding talk, but if Courtney and Johnny do make it down the aisle, it will be the actress’ second marriage. She was previously married to actor David Arquette between 1999 and 2010. The former couple shares an 12-year-old daughter named Coco.
