Mumbai, Oct.31 (ANI): Swashbuckling batsman AB de Villiers scored his fourth century of the tour to steady the sinking ship as South Africa ended the two-day warm-up game against the Indian Board President’s XI in a draw at Mumbai on Saturday.
Replying to Board President’s XI’s first innings score of 296, South Africa were reeling at 111-6 before De Villiers (112) and Dane Vilas (54) added 115 runs for the seventh wicket.
The hosts then scored 92-0 in their second innings, with KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara remaining unbeaten on 43 and 49.
After losing both the T20 and ODI series, India will aim to bounce back when they will take on South Africa in the first Test on November 5 at Mohali. (ANI)
