Actress Deepika Padukone has praised her “Piku” co-star Irrfan Khan’s film “Madaari”, hailing it as a movie which will “stir” people emotionally.
The movie is all about taking a stand and shouldering responsibility, while it also showcases the bond between a father and son.
The “Bajirao Mastani” actress, who starred opposite Irrfan in Shoojit Sircar’s “Piku” last year, said “Madaari” will make the viewers thinking. It’s outstanding. I think it’s one of those films that’s going to stay with us for a very very long time and going to get all of us thinking, and it’s going to stir you up emotionally,” Deepika said.
Irrfan and director Nishikant Kamat teamed up again for “Madaari” after their critically acclaimed “Mumbai Meri Jaan” in 2008.
The movie, which also stars Jimmy Shergill, was released on July 22.
On the first day the film had collected more than Rs. 14.78 cr. from the box office and on the second day about Rs. 7.84 cr. Madaari is in tough competition with the recently released films Sultan and Kabali. – CINEWS
