Johannesburg, Feb.15 (ANI): Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney has admitted that his side were not good enough against relegation-threatened Sunderland following their humiliating 1-2 defeat in the Premier League at the Stadium of Light.
Expressing his disappointment on United’s defeat, the 30-year-old forward admitted that his side did not perform at their absolute best.
Rooney further insisted that United failed to create enough chances and were not aggressive against Sunderland, Sport24 reported.
United are currently fifth in standings and are six points behind Manchester City, which have entered the finals of the Champions League.
United, which made an early exit from the league, will now lock horns with Arsenal on February 28. (ANI)
