The Delhi High Court on Monday ordered the release of Bollywood movie Love Day-Pyaar Ka Din with a U/A certificate. The high court set aside the Central Board of Film Certification order that categorised the movie as an adults only film.
U/A certificate means unrestricted public exhibition subject to parental guidance for children under the age of 12. However, the court placed restrictions on showing certain dialogues in the film, scheduled for September 23 release.
Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva allowed the plea of producer RajLaxmi Entertainment, which was filed through its proprietor Baldev Singh Bedi.
The producer moved the court after the CBFC granted ‘A’ certificate, subject to proposed 16 cuts and one requisition.
Love Day – Pyaar Ka Din is a comedy based on Friendship which is written and directed by Harish Kotian and Sandeep Choudhary.
The movie stars Ajaz khan, Sahil Anand, Harsh Nagar and Shalu Singh in the lead roles.
CBFC has come under criticism from film makers for its controversial handling of the censorship;
The move led to CBFC getting trolled on social media. The board has infamously created unwanted issue during the release of films including Udta Punjab, Black Friday, spectre and much more and they have not even spared a film like The Jungle Boy. – CINEWS
