Delhi man dies in police firing

New Delhi, Dec 24 (IANS) A man died in police firing here on Thursday during a protest following the death of a child in a road accident.

Wasim, a resident of Shahbad Dairy area in west Delhi, was shot around 11.30 a.m. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

Police said scores of people residing in the area started protesting after a three-year-old boy died in a road accident in the morning.

According to eye witnesses, there was a heated argument between police and the residents who gathered on the spot after the accident and blocked the road.
