Mumbai, March 19 (CINEWS): The thing with Twitter is that it’s a spot to voice sentiment as well as the spot to face its repercussions. Also, the most recent focus of Twitter trolls is performer Dia Mirza, whose late tweet appears to have met with substantial feedback.
The on-screen character took to Twitter to advance the ‘spare water’ cause, with Holi practically around the bend.
Mirza tweeted, “The incongruity of the times we live in: ranchers submit suicide because of dry season and individuals waste water to “play” #Holi.Go ahead call me hostile to Hindu.”
In opposition to Dia’s expectation of “hostile to Hindu” comments coming her direction, the performing artist was rather trolled for being a faker with trolls advising her that she had been issued a legitimate notification by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board for not paying water duties of Rs 2.26 lakh. A few even went ahead to call attention to that a great deal of water was squandered in taping fake downpours in her 2004 film, ‘Tumsa Nahi Dekha’.
