Mumbai, March 22 (CINEWS): On-screen character Patralekha, who appeared in Bollywood as a dedicated wife and gushing mother in “CityLights”, was acknowledged for her execution in the film. In any case, she says numerous offers that came her direction post its discharge, weren’t to her loving.
The on-screen character will now include in Vikram Bhatt’s “Love Games”.
Inquired as to why it took so long to think of her next film after “CityLights”, she said: “I didn’t get great offers… I was not being offered the sort of movies I needed to do. I was getting mother’s parts, and outfit cast movies. Such offers didn’t interest me. Be that as it may, I trust now things will change.”
She feels her “provincial look” in “CityLights” could be one motivation behind why she didn’t get noteworthy parts – however she isn’t grumbling.
Movies are a visual medium. You need to look pretty and I didn’t look lovely in that film. It was a rustic look, so it had an effect. I have no misgiving that I did that film since today I am here simply because of ‘CityLights’.”
In “Love Games”, she will be found in an intense symbol – something else from what she played in her presentation film.
“As a performing artist, what I am doing now is precisely inverse to what I did in ‘CityLights’, so it was extremely trying for me. My character in ‘Love Games’ is altogether different and not relatable, so I needed to work a great deal on it,” she said.
