Producer cum actress Divya Khosla Kumar, whose last directorial was Sanam Re, has wore another cap – that of a philanthropist. Divya has been delegated as the goodwill ambassador of Smile Foundation, a NGO committed towards children providing them good education and their health.
This declaration was made on Friday (June 3) night at a charity gala dinner organised by the Virat Kohli Foundation.
Virat called Divya in front of an audience and congratulated her. In spite of the fact that Divya has been effectively battling for the training of young ladies, this new part of a goodwill diplomat has made her significantly more decided.
Divya says, “”Being celebrities, we have the power to bring about a change and we need to extend our full support towards such causes in order to start a revolution. Girl child education and their safety is a growing concern, not only in our country, but in places across the world. I have been associated with this foundation for a while and I cannot express how happy I am to be given the honour to be the ambassador. It’s my time to give back to society, and I am charged as ever to do whatever it takes to protect these children and make a change.”
Vikram Sigh Verma, COO, Smile Foundation said, “Divya has been a philanthropist, and has always come forward to support causes related to children. With her support towards our initiatives like Cook for Smile and Ramp for Champs, she has helped us put the message across to millions of people. We are delighted to have her on board”. – CINEWS
