New Delhi, Feb. 7 (ANI): The parents of Divyansh Kakrora, who died a mysterious death in Ryan International School, have lauded the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP Government’s move to recommend a CBI probe into the matter and said any further delay would lead to manipulation of evidences.

Divyansh’s father, who met Delhi’s Women and Child Welfare Minister Sandeep Kumar here today, said only a CBI probe would justify this case.

“We spoke to the minister. We told him about our problems with the police. We told him how the police was not probing the matter in a proper way. We have given a memo to the minister about this. He has promised action in this matter and has said that he would recommend a CBI probe. He has also told us that he would meet with the Chief Minister today evening and discuss ways to deliver justice to the kid,” he said.

“The CBI or any independent agency is only capable of probing this incident. I am thankful to the government for this step and their efforts to deliver justice to the kid. The probe should begin as soon as possible because the more the delay in justice, the more difficult it would be for me to survive. And delay of the matter may also lead to manipulation of evidences,” he added.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Manish Sisodia on Sunday said the Delhi Government would send a recommendation for a CBI probe into the death of six-year-old Divyansh.

Sisodia’s announcement came a day after the six-year-old boy’s parents wrote to Union Human Resource and Development (HRD) Minister Smriti Irani, demanding a CBI probe into the death of their child on the school campus.
