DNA evidence leads to arrest construction company in break-in

DNA found at a crime scene in Bolton has led to the arrest of a Brampton man.

Caledon OPP were called to investigate a break-in at a construction company on Nixon Road in Bolton on March 17. A work vehicle was broken into overnight, the interior and exterior extensively damaged, and more than $23,000 worth of equipment stolen.

The OPP’s Forensic Identification Unit collected evidence at the scene for DNA comparison.

On May 5, police arrested Gurpreet Singh Lally, 34, of Brampton and charged him with two counts of theft and failing to comply with a recognizance. – CINEWS
