Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld, 83, commented on the robbery outside of his Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week on Oct. 4, telling reporters that Kim Kardashian brought the matter upon herself.
“You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you,” he said of Kim’s tendency to show off her bling on social media.
“If you’re that famous and you put all your jewellery on the net, you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room,” Karl added.
Well, Kim was staying in a super-secretive hotel that was so private, you can only book it word-of-mouth and need a password to even view the website, but it didn’t matter in the end. “I think it’s a very bad thing for Paris but I don’t understand why she was in a hotel with no security,” Karl said.
In contrast to these comments, Karl sent Kim a note shortly after the horrifying events occurred. “Dearest Kim, we are all with you, Love Karl,” he handwrote on a white piece of paper.
