The annual Doors Open Ontario events happens in Brampton and Mississauga in September. It gives residents the opportunity to explore local historic buildings and sites that are usually closed to the public. Visitors on weekends can visit for free.
On September 23, the 15th annual Doors Open Mississauga will spotlight 16 locations in the Cooksville and Dundas neighbourhoods.
On Sept. 30, Doors Open Brampton will focus on historical sites that tell the story of the evolution of the city from a farming community to a bustling city.
During Doors Open, sites are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
