Johannesburg, July 16 (ANI): Ewan McGregor is all set to reprise his role of Mark Renton after almost 20 years in the sequel of Danny Boyle’s 1996 direction flick ‘Trainspotting’.
Notably, the 44-year-old actor was previously rumored of having a cold war with the director Boyle as the helmer promised to offer him a lead role in 2000 thriller ‘The Beach’, which was later played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
A source informed that the actor and the 58-year-old English film-maker finally had a patch-up and presently the ‘Star Wars’ actor is excited to play the central character in the sequel of the drama film nad is providing lot of input on the script, News24.com reported.
Other than McGregor, Robert Carlyle and Jonny Lee have also been confirmed for the film, which will begin shooting in Scotland in January. (ANI)
