Ferguson backs Klopp as new Liverpool manager

London, Oct.10 (ANI): Former Manchester United <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>manager Sir Alex Ferguson has backed new <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>Liverpool <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>manager Jurgen Klopp, saying that the latter will prove to be a great <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>manager for the club.

While admiring Klopp, Ferguson said that the 48-year-old is a strong personality and a determined person who would help improve Liverpool’s performance, the Guardian reported.

Meanwhile, Klopp had said that he wouldn’t face any problem working with Liverpool’s transfer committee if he has the first and the last say on players to be <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>allowed to play or not.

Reflecting his views on the matter, Ferguson said that <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>manager should be <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>allowed to decide the kind of players the club wants because it was the <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>manager who knows his player very well.

The German’s appointment came after <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>Liverpool sacked Brendan Rodgers after their poor Premier League performances that put the five-time European champions in tenth place.

With the appointment, the former Borussia Dortmund coach became the Anfield Club’s highest paid <strong class=’StrictlyAutoTagBold’>manager after he signed a three-year contract worth five million pounds a year.(ANI)
