Fernando Hierro appointed Spain’s new coach

Krasnodar (Russia), June 13 (IANS) The Spanish football federation, RFEF, on Wednesday named Fernando Hierro as the national squad’s new head coach, minutes after the firing of Julen Lopetegui due to the latter’s surprise signing for Real Madrid.

Former Spanish international Hierro will take charge two days before Spain’s first match in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia against Portugal, reports Efe.
