All airplane enthusiasts and most children will be happy to visit the new jet take off and landing viewing area at Danville Park. This is a joint project by The City of Mississauga, in partnership the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) at the 25-hectare park located near Kennedy Road and Courtneypark Drive. One more thing that should gladden the hearts of the many South Asian cricket enthusiasts is there is also a great spanking new cricket pitch.

The jet viewing area is situated on a hilltop overlooking the surrounding area with a clear view of the airport and sits in the flight path of one of Pearson’s runways.

“Danville Terminal soars an impressive 25 metres above the surrounding area and features a sleek overhead airplane, a painted runway, informational plaques and a windsock, that demonstrates wind speed and its direction,” the airport wrote on its website.

“We’re proud to sponsor a unique aviation-themed feature in Danville Park, which was designed with help from the community,” it added.

The spot offers a great view of the surrounding area, and the city says it will be open to the public year-round.

Toronto Pearson Airport is one of the busiest in North America and is busy 24/7 with 1,100 flights a day that takeoff and land.

It is really an awesome experience for anyone, especially children to see a plane land and take off from such proximity. -CINEWS
