Peel police said the fire broke out around 9:50 pm on Saturday at 3 Darras Ct. near Clark Boulevard and Bramalea Road in Brampton.
The fire’s cause has yet to be determined, but a police spokeswoman said she does not believe it was set deliberately. According to a Brampton fire spokesperson, the fire spread through the upper levels of the townhomes and moved through the roofs. The Ontario Fire Marshal continued to investigate the incident. Two firefighters sustained minor injuries. None of the residents were hurt.
Brampton’s Emergency Measures Office has begun helping the displaced families find shelter, according to a tweet from fire officials early Sunday. Some are staying with family.
