Five Maoists arrested in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Oct 20 (IANS) Five Maoists were arrested in Jharkhand’s Khuti district on Tuesday, police said.

Police seized a pistol, five mobile phones and Maoist literature from the five who belonged to the outlawed Communist Party of India-Maoist. The arrested men included a ‘commander’, Boyda Pahan.

Maoists are active in 18 of the 22 districts of Jharkhand.
