Nathan Phillips Square will again be home this summer to Fresh Wednesdays and Tasty Thursdays, produced by the City of Toronto.
Fresh Wednesdays will take place every Wednesday from July 6 to August 24, featuring a farmers market with vendors selling fresh, Ontario-grown produce, meats, baked goods, artisan cheeses, honey, preserves, flowers and more. Local food vendors will also be onsite from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. serving up tasty meals for patrons to enjoy while they shop. More information about FreshWednesdays is available at http://www.toronto.ca/special_
Tasty Thursdays will take place each Thursday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. from July 7 to August 25. Restaurants and food trucks from across the city will serve up Canadian and international cuisines, including Asian, Colombian, Greek, Latin American, Mexican, Turkish and Ukrainian favourites.
This year, Tasty Thursdays will also feature Live from City Hall concerts, generously supported by TD and in partnership with Music Canada. These shows, featuring some of Toronto’s best musicians across multiple genres, start at 12:30 p.m. A performance schedule and vendor list are available at http://www.toronto.ca/special_
As part of these summer programs, on Wednesday, July 20 and Thursday, July 21, Rogers and Tennis Canada will get Torontonians closer to the tennis action with an engaging activation in celebration of Rogers Cup.
