Los Angeles, December 18 (CINEWS):They chuckled. They cried. They came in large numbers. ‘Star Wars’ fans overwhelmed silver screens far and wide Thursday for the first showings of the enthusiastically foreseen seventh portion of the space adventure, and they coasted out on sentimentality and positive surveys.
“Stunning! JJ Baby that was one in a million!!!” Harry Knowles, author of fan site Ain’t It Cool News, spouted on Twitter, where #StarWarsTheForceAwakens was an inclining theme Thursday night.
For some fans, at last seeing ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ the film was an enthusiastic affair.
“My feelings. My brain. My heart,” Esteban Detres composed on Twitter subsequent to watching the film in IMAX at a Dallas theater. “The buildup was more than conveyed on. It was all that I ever thought it would be.”
The worldwide rollout of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was softening records abroad and up presales in front of its Thursday evening introduction in the United States.
The Walt Disney Co. said Thursday the film appeared with $14.1 million from its first screenings Wednesday in 12 global markets. The biggest was France, where the film earned $5.2 million. It set an one-day record in Norway and Sweden.
More than $100 million in tickets have been presold in North America. The motion picture ticket administration Fandango said it has officially sold more tickets for ‘Force Awakens’ than any motion picture over its whole showy run.
Dave Hollis, head of circulation for Disney, tried to guarantee moviegoers that theaters aren’t sold out. Hollis said “there are actually a huge number of tickets accessible during the current weekend.”
