Forest fire raging in north China

Beijing, May 19 (IANS) More than 300 armed police officers have been dispatched to put out a wildfire in northern China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local forestry department said on Wednesday.

The fire broke out at around 3:50 p.m. local time. Local sources told Xinhua that strong winds and complicated landform have fueled the blaze.
