Former child artiste Shweta Basu Prasad has featured in a short film titled ‘Interior Cafe Night’, along with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah and Shernaz Patel.
She is also the film’s co-producer.
Shweta won the National Award at the age of 11 for her performance in the 2002 film ‘Makdee’ and has also starred in several television serials as a child artiste.
Shweta was accused of being involved in a prostitution racket in 2014, but was later acquitted of the charges. The film marks her return to screen after the controversial incident.
Shweta has previously worked with Naseeruddin in Nagesh Kuknoor’s 2005 film ‘Iqbal’.
‘Interior Cafe Night’ has been directed by Adhiraj Bose. The short film is set in the interior of a cafe in Kolkata at night time.
