Actress and former Miss India Pooja Chopra, who will be seen in Hindi film Yea Toh Two Much Ho Gayaa, says she was waiting for an interesting role since Commando.
In the film, releasing on September 2, she is cast opposite Jimmy Sheirgill.
“I had met with an accident and was advised bed rest for six months. A few good projects came my way but things didn’t work out. I was looking for something substantial after ‘Commando’ and I got this script (‘Yea Toh…’) and I signed it,” Pooja said in a statement.
A major portion of the movie has been shot in Thailand, the actress said. She is thankful to producer Ali Unwala and director Anwer Khan for the “great role”.
Chopra made her acting debut in the 2011 Tamil film, Ponnar Shankar, opposite Prashanth Thiagarajan. The film was written by the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M. Karunanidhi and directed by Thiagarajan.
Before she made her debut in Bollywood as in Vipul Shah’s action film Commando opposite Vidyut Jammwal, she had minor roles in Madhur Bhandarkar’s films Fashion and Heroine.
Arbaaz Khan, Bruna Abdullah, Murli Sharma, Vijay Patkar and Zarina Wahab are other cast members of the film. – CINEWS
