Four wanted in armed robbery at Markham gas station

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking public assistance in identifying four suspects following an armed robbery at a gas station in the Markham on Friday.

At approximately 2:45 a.m., four male suspects entered a gas station located in the area of Major Mackenzie Drive East and Markham Road.  One of the suspects pointed a silver hand gun at the employee and demanded cash from the till. One suspect remained at the door while the other two suspects took items from the store. The suspects fled with a quantity of cash, cigarettes and food.

The employee was not injured during the incident.

  • Male, black
  • 18 to 28
  • Armed with a silver handgun in his right hand
  • Wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans
Suspect 2:

  • Male, black
  • 16 to 26
  • Thin build
  • Wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans, grey shoes and a black and white backpack
Suspect 3:

  • Male, black
  • 16 to 26
  • Thin build
  • Wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black gloves

 

Suspect 4:

  • Male, black
  • 16 to 26
  • Thin build
  • Wearing a black hoodie, sweat pants, white shoes and black gloves

 

Investigators from the Hold-Up Unit are reminding business owners of the importance of maintaining and updating video surveillance equipment. Quality images help to identify suspects, can aid in arrests and have a tremendous impact during court proceedings.
