For those on a really tight budget who need to file taxes for free, there is help available.
Singles with incomes up to $35,000, and families with incomes up to $52,500, who have a simple tax situation can get free income tax preparation services offered by the Region of Peel and the Halton-Peel Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Ontario Association.
For those filing taxes, it must be noted that income thresholds depend on family size. For more information, refer to the CRA’s chart showing suggested family income level.
Services at Region of Peel tax clinics are available by appointment only.
Advance sign-up is required. Once that is done, the client will be advised of the documents required to be brought on the appointment date.
