Pune, Sept. 12 (ANI): The hunger strike by three Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) students demanding the removal of Gajendra Cahuhan as the institute’s chairman entered its third day on Saturday.
The FTII Students Association had earlier said that the hunger strike by students Alok Arora, Hilal Sawaat and Himanshu Shekar is indefinite and added that if the fasting students are hospitalised they will be replaced by another batch of protestors.
The students have been protesting against Chauhan’s appointment as FTII chairman for over 90 days now.
FTII Director Prashant Pathrabe, who visited the students yesterday, had said that a periodical medical check-up would be done on them to ensure their well-being. (ANI)
