Roquebrune Cap Martin (France), April 19 (IANS) David Goffin of Belgium and Alexander Zverev of Germany advanced to the Monte-Carlo Masters quarter-finals here on Thursday.
In one hour and 41 minutes, Goffin, world No. 10, managed to prevail over Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 7-5 for the second time in four career encounters, reported Efe.
Meanwhile, world No. 4 Zverev needed two hours and three minutes to overcome his compatriot Jan-Lennard Struff 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
Goffin is to play against either Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany or Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria, while Zverev is set to take on next either his brother Mischa or Frenchmen Richard Gasquet.
