GOI takes up matter with Twitter after their J-K goof up

New Delhi, Feb. 18 (ANI): A day after Twitter made a blunder of showing regions of Jammu and Kashmir as parts of Pakistan and China, the Government of India took up the matter with the micro-blogging site.

Government sources told ANI that Twitter has assured them that the matter would be resolved.

The micro-blogging site is facing a lot of criticism from the Indian users on social media for this debacle.

The micro-blogging site allows its users to tag a place in their tweets. Users can either select their current location either automatically manually. After the users type their city or region, Twitter gives them options from their database.

But users where shocked yesterday to notice when they typed “Jammu” or “Kashmir” in Twitter’s location field and the website didn’t give any option of India. Instead it showed the options of Pakistan or China. (ANI)
